Privacy Policy
Digital platform of CDB bank (Continental Digital Banking & Global Payments)
This Privacy Policy explains how CDB bank (the "Bank", the "Service", "we") collects, uses, stores and protects personal data when you use www.cdbgp.com or www.cdbgp.net, the web client area and the payment card.
1. What data we collect and why
We keep the data needed to open and run the account, make the payments you request, and protect the account.
Registration data
First name, last name, date of birth, email address and country.
Purpose: to create the personal account and to send messages and email codes.
Identity details
Passport or identity-document series and number, as you type them. A passport photo may be uploaded with the application; it is not stored. The live face check confirms that you are present. The camera image and video are not saved. The signature you draw on the screen is kept so it can appear on your framework agreement and on the back of your card in the client area.
Payments and balances
History of incoming and outgoing payments, balances, and interest. Published yearly rates are 1.75% on a notice balance, 2.40% for six months and 3.10% for twelve months. This includes payments and cash withdrawals with Classic and Plus cards.
Purpose: to make payments, calculate interest, and produce official account statements.
Card delivery
A postal address in the European Union, and a phone number, only if you order a physical Plus card.
Purpose: to send that card.
Technical data
The IP address of a sign-in.
Purpose: to protect the account against unauthorised access.
2. Why we use it
- The account: the data is needed to open the account, issue Classic and Plus cards, and produce a statement when you ask for one.
- The service: to run the client area, protect it, and answer support@cdbgp.com and support@cdbgp.net.
- Your consent: for the signature you place on the agreement. Marketing mail is not sent unless you ask for it.
3. Who else sees it
CDB bank does not sell personal data. Data is shared only in these cases:
- A payment network, so a card payment can be made.
- A delivery service inside the European Union, only to post the Plus card.
- Support staff, for what they need to answer a request.
- A court or other authority, when an official order requires it.
4. How long it is kept
Account records, payment history, the framework agreement and the signature are kept while the account is open and for 5 years after it is closed, unless a specific record has to be kept longer. After that, the records are deleted or stripped of the name.
5. How it is protected
The site is served over HTTPS, so data in transit is encrypted. Access to client records is limited to operating the account and answering support.
6. Your requests
- Access: you may ask for a copy of the personal data on the account.
- Correction: you may ask for a correction, for example after a new passport.
- Deletion: you may ask for deletion after the account is closed and the 5-year period above has ended.
- Marketing and a copy for another institution: you may withdraw a request for marketing mail, or ask for a copy of your data to pass to another institution.
